Saguaro Shine is based in Scottsdale and works the north end of the Valley. We keep the map tight on purpose — it is a small owner-operated crew, and a tight map is what lets us show up on the day we said we would. Scottsdale

Home base, and where most of our week goes: Old Town up through McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch and DC Ranch. Scottsdale glass takes it from two directions — sprinkler overspray leaving mineral on the lower panes, and fine desert dust settling on everything between rains. North Scottsdale and Troon

Bigger homes, more glass, and a lot of it two storeys up. We reach up to three storeys from the ground with a water-fed pole and 100% purified water, so nothing leans on your stucco. Most communities up here are gated — send the gate code or add us to your guest list when you book, and the crew will not be sitting at the callbox.

Paradise Valley

Wall-to-wall glass, mountain views, and homeowners who notice a streak from across the room. A lot of Paradise Valley homes have large fixed picture windows that simply cannot be reached from inside, which is exactly what the pole system is for.

Cave Creek and Carefree

Further out, dustier, and often further from a working hose bib than homes in town. We bring our own purified water, so that is not your problem. A first clean after a long gap takes longer than the maintenance visits that follow it — worth saying when you ask for a quote.

Fountain Hills

Hillside lots, west-facing view windows, and steady wind moving dust up the slopes. The big fixed panes that make the view are the ones that need a pole and purified water rather than a ladder and a rag.

Desert Ridge and North Phoenix

Newer construction, tighter lots, and the full force of the monsoon. When a dust storm comes through in July or August this is the side of the Valley that wears it. Glass cleaned the week after a storm looks dramatically different from glass cleaned the week before one.

Peoria and Anthem

The far edge of our map. We do go — it is worth calling to ask about timing rather than assuming you are out of range.

About those cloudy spots (hard water)

Across every town on this list, the most common question we get is about the cloudy patches on the lower panes. That is mineral — sprinkler overspray and hard tap water drying on the glass. Caught early it is still sitting on the surface, and a regular clean usually improves it. Left for years it etches into the glass itself, and etching is permanent: no cleaner and no amount of scrubbing takes it out. We do not offer hard water stain removal or glass restoration. What we will do is tell you honestly which of the two you are looking at, and help you stop it getting worse — turn the sprinkler heads away from the glass and clean on a regular schedule.
